Strata collaborative framework
The Strata sub-system provides a framework within which group work and interactive role- play scenarios can be delivered.
Strata allows developers to create complex and engaging role-play scenarios. Students are active participants and each person can given a certain role to play and a user may be assigned a role within their user group. Based on that role, they will be able to access a set of "documents". They they can read short documents online or documents can contain file attachments to be downloaded. Documents may be created by the developer and released to students at a pre-set time, or they might be created and sent by one student to another student as part of their role. Students can be given document templates to create and send documents and files to one or more users.
Strata provides a marking system that allows tutors to assess individual documents created by a user or to provide a single mark and grade for an entire folder of work. Students can view their marks online and academics can analyse and download results.
